Mission Statement

 

“It is the mission of the Clemton Park School L.I.A.R.C to service the information needs of the school community, propagate a love of reading for leisure and act as a catalyst within the community for the development of information literacy.”

 

Goals

 

To assist in the preparation of students for High School by:

 

  • Being proactive in the supply of resource materials for teachers and students.

  • Ensuring students appreciate the role of literature in our society.

  • Developing in students the ability to identify fiction genre types to inform their reading choices.

  • Developing students skills and understanding in the use of the Information Process Skills model of information handling (Define, Locate, Select, Organise, Present, Assess).

  • Ensure students enter High School with the technological understanding and skills required to learn and demonstrate their learning in an electronic / multi media environment.

  • Seating for two classes

  • Interactive Whiteboard and Connected Classroom (Video Conferencing)

  • Large Teacher Reference section covering all Key Learning Areas
